The Volkshochschule Lahr and the municipality of Kappel-Grafenhausen are looking for a part-time manager for the VHS branch in Kappel-Grafenhausen.

The tasks include planning and organizing the programme in cooperation with the VHS office in Lahr, advising and registering participants, cooperating with the municipality of Kappel-Grafenhausen, local associations and institutions. They maintain contact with the lecturers and are responsible for local public relations and advertising.

We are looking for people who are interested in a diverse and varied area of further education. Organizational talent, IT skills, time flexibility and enjoyment of working with people are important qualifications.

We offer an interesting part-time fee-based job that can be done from home. As evening appointments are also required, you should live in Kappel-Grafenhausen. You can expect a responsible and varied job with plenty of scope for creativity.

We are looking for lecturers for integration courses with BAMF approval, including retired teachers.
Requirements for teaching integration courses:
- University degree in German as a foreign language/German as a second language
- or 1st or 2nd state examination in German/modern foreign languages
- or other university degree and recognized DaF/DaZ certificate

The VHS Lahr is also looking for lecturers for the German courses of the open program.
Requirements for teaching German courses (not integration courses):
- University degree in languages/(social) education
- or other university degree
- and a DaF/DaZ certificate or teaching experience or a professional language qualification and teaching experience.

The VHS Lahr is regularly looking for lecturers for French for children. Courses take place at lunchtime/early afternoon from September/October.

We are also always looking for English, French, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian as well as for rarely learned languages such as Japanese, Portuguese, Swedish and Thai.

Are you interested in and enjoy working with adults? Do you have specialist knowledge or professional experience in educational topics combined with pedagogical training or practical work experience?

In cooperation with the regional association Badisches Rotes Kreuz e.V., we offer young people between the ages of 18 and 27 the opportunity to do a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) in the field of public relations.

There are many reasons to opt for an FSJ:

  • to gain initial practical experience after leaving school
  • to orientate yourself professionally
  • to gain further social skills
  • to bridge the gap between leaving school and starting an apprenticeship or university course
  • and many more.

The FSJ usually lasts twelve months; the minimum duration is six months.

We are currently looking for a volunteer starting September 01, 2026, with

  • Driving license (class B) - an advantage but not essential
  • good spelling skills and organizational skills
  • sociability and ability to work in a team
  • and enjoy working independently and responsibly

The tasks include

  • Participation in and support of VHS public relations work
    (press relations, poster and flyer design, advertising, social media)
  • Support in the collaboration with various cooperation partners
  • Support and supervision of the integration courses
